Product Review: Dean EVO XM Electric Guitar

59

By James Gapinski

The Dean EVO XM Electric Guitar gets a big thumbs up. For its modest price, the guitar offers great sound and a very professional aesthetic. The dual humbuckers provide tone reminiscent of higher end Les Paul guitars. The output is not quite as high, but the overall sound is impeccable. The guitar offers three tone selection options as well as a tone knob. Its neck is very playable, and the bridge placement offers very easy palm muting for punk, metal, or grunge players.

One of the great things about this guitar is that it looks much more expensive than it is. The stained wooden finish gives a vintage vide, while the all-black hardware gives a more modern edge. It’s a great choice for a beginner or even a seasoned guitarist looking for good tone without a hefty price. Overall, I’d rank the guitar a 9 out of 10.
